A small lighting shop with clearer reasons to buy.
Puchica is an independent Canadian shop selling woven bamboo and rattan pendants and wall sconces. We keep the range small so each shape has a reason to be here and its details stay clear.
Start with the room that needs the light.
The problem wasn’t finding more products. It was finding the right one.
Online shopping can turn a simple problem into hours of scrolling through near-identical products, vague descriptions, and options that are hard to compare.
Puchica takes the opposite approach. We list a handful of woven fixtures we would hang ourselves, and every one has a clear size, a clear fitting and delivery shown before payment.
Useful first. Clear before checkout. Worth the space it takes.
A product needs a reason to be here.
A small range only works when the reason for each fixture is easy to explain.
- 01
Earns its place in a room
We start with a job: a pendant that patterns the ceiling over a table, a small shape to cluster over a counter, a sconce that lights a page beside the bed.
- 02
Works with the others
The pendants and sconces share materials and finishes, so two or three hung together read as one idea rather than a crowded catalogue.
- 03
Easy to understand before buying
Every listing gives the size in centimetres and inches, the cord length, the fitting and what is not in the box. Delivery is shown at checkout.
Puchica starts with a feeling of useful surprise.
“Puchica” is a familiar Central American expression of surprise—the kind of reaction a room can earn when the light goes on. That spirit shapes the brand: a few well-chosen pieces, honestly described, without adding clutter.
Canadian owned. Starting small and staying useful.
